Can't comment on that. I've always been told white lithium is your best option, since it's very versatile. You can basically use white lithium on your gears, piston, cylinder, anything that normally needs grease you can use white lithium grease on (Grease is not interchangable with 100% silicone oil). Unless there's something that white lithium has that lithium doesn't that could drastically destroy performance factors, I'd assume it's fine, however I'd wait until a more knowledgable person, such as a gun doctor, can confirm whether or not standard lithium grease is acceptable for use.
