holosights have a bigger window? I cant really tell with the pictures, oh and is it true you dont have to close one eye to use the holo-sights?

the holosights are the way i originally wanted to go but then i saw some 45mm red dot scopes that have 2x magnification and thought to my self hmmmmm that might come in handy and considering the pictures of the holo sights didnt look like they had a 45mm window i got confused.

basically i am afraid of getting the wrong thing and wasting my money. i am after a red dot that is going to give me the best view and accuracy whether its a scope or holo.
