You'll usually lose a few BB's when you take the mag out, that's normal.

Use a heavier weight. Sure it will slow down the BB but it will do wonders for accuracy (tighter groupings). (.2's are good for CQB and stuff but I find .25's much better).

If it's going up then turn the hop up down if it's dropping too fast then turn the hop up well... up. What I do is turn it so the BB's start to curve up then turn it down a bit that basically gives you the maximum range (it will go straight for as long as possible).
