Stupid newspaper deleted my comment about how criminals that shoot people with (illegal) guns are allowed to plea bargain to a lesser non-firearm charge and avoid the madatory minimum sentences all the while using lawyers the public is paying for so that they don't have to dip into their drug money.
In the meantime, these people that as far as we know haven't caused any harm to anybody are facing very serious charges that will likely mean the loss of their business, the loss of their property, cost them tens of thousands on lawyers (no free lawyers for them) and quite possibly face jail time too.
If you want to be a law abiding gun owner, watch out - if you want to be a criminal and kill shoot people, you can always cop to some useless irrelevant charge and get off......
