Here is my diag:

You got a bad jam in auto.

The piston failed to return fully forward before the gears catch it again (thus the "poshhhh" sounds.

This damaged both the piston and gears, and probably the hop-up rubber and "maybe" tappet plate.

No magic trick, you have to open her up.

Allen key size for motor adjustment is 1.5mm metric. a 1/16" is too large and won't fit in the grub screw. In G36s, you can't back the motor far back enough to completely free it from the gears because of the motor cage.
