I own a SRC Gen III HK416 and I have been trying to figure out what receivers will fit for it. I previously owned a G36C and do not know that much about the M4 line in terms of aftermarket gear.

I know that the top reciever is different from standard M4s but how about the lower? Will any of the aftermarket ones work?

One thing I want to do is get a cheap all plastic upper and lower set to do some painting pratice on and to see what color combos I like with the rest of my gear. It would also allow me to screw up a few times without caring as much.

I have tried searching but didn't see anything too relevant. Also waiting for the AV to get processed.
