Not true at all.... KWA slide are CNC aluminum machined... so getting a new one would be wasting your money for the exact same slide... (do you really want to pay 100-200$ for the same slide + trademarks?...)

KWA/KWC decided to go with a stock Durable Nylon Fiber Plastic Outer barrel on there USP for reliability reasons!!!!

A metal outer barrel with a Metal slide, will wear the slide off, and eventually destroy it....

C'mon simple physic.... Metal on metal contact is not goo, and also... the hardest material will usually deform/destroy the softer one.... and in your case, the metal outer barrel (made usually out of steel) will destroy the slide (which is made out of Aluminum!)

My friend has a KWA USP, and I've shot it, and disassemble it... and its really reliable in its stock form....
