Most of the made-for-KSC slide+barrel sets from SD or Creation are aluminum slide and barrel...I've never seen one wears enough to break.
If the plastic barrel lugs wears off from the aluminum slide, the gun will also stop working, no different from slide being worn off, so its a moot point....
