The Limcat had a 2 piece, though it uses 2 cross drilled holes on the fore-and-aft piece to tighten and loosen(you stick something in the holes and twist. The Hex thing is what I did to mod another guiderod on that 1911.
What I meant to say in the last post is that you are supposed to loosen the 2 piece rod, then use the front bushing tool to rotate the bushing out of the way to field strip the gun. Thats how you get around having the bushing hitting the long guide rod.
BTW, unrelated question, that OD color Hi-Capa frame, its not a IK frame is it? Or is it a painted IK frame?
