LOL Im soo sorry for the confusion. I meant the lower half as you have all described. I intended on getting a paintball type eyewear and ... as you said MacGuyvering the mesh part to the goggle part to make a 1 solid piece mask. It was never that my eyes couldnt see down the sight. It was the cheek area of the mask that would get in the way and I wouldnt be able to hold the rifle properly against my shoulder and therefore my accuracy dropped dramatically. I planned on making the mesh part as 'form-fitting' as possible. I was simply worried about safety issues, as was mentioned shattering bb's.

So with that said and advice taken to heart,
Doubling up on the tightest weave i can find and adjusting what needs to be to fit inside of a helmet.
