I want to say that the effective range is probably under 150 ft, since the bb will be travelling so slow at that point. Getting hits any distance beyond that will be quite hard, unless the target doesn't move for like 10 seconds :P. I have noticed that at closer ranges, it is very consistent and flies straight. Oh I totally know what you mean, I wish I had enough outdoor space out of the public eye where I could just sit, relax and zero in my rifle over long ranges, but having enough space is a horrible limitation... I pretty much only do long range setups and tuning (outside of a game) at a farm out near Renfrew (4-5 hours away from Toronto, argh!). 360 Acres of property belonging to a GREAT friend, on top of a mountain, hunter and farmer country, everyones got atleast a 30.06 real steel and no city slickers around to make that "man with gun" call.
