Sounds to me like it's the gears you need to replace, try using double torque gears.
As for the motor, strongly recommend G&P over systema. My M140's have no trouble pulling 400fps at 900-1200rpm. Especially since I use a triggermaster I can tell you the systema's are powerhogs until they get shimmed, turned and insulated. The G&P M120 and M140 motors I know don't require tuning to be using with an SW-COMP, but no motor doesn't benefit from a good tune up
