You have a stock FAMAS by TM. Do not go to 9.6v, you will have a crazy rate of fire then a non working gearbox.
The old EG560 was a fine motor in its own way. Your FAMAS has what is now known as a "high speed" gear set and coupled with your EG560 should run just fine on a 7.2v large battery. The 8.4v's that were provided gave a great ROF when they were new. If your battery is as old as that gun then there is no shame in retiring it. But be sure to get another 8.4v to replace it! If that won't cycle the FAMAS properly then you have something wrong with the gearbox. AGAIN DO NOT COUPLE THAT FINE VINTAGE GUN WITH A 9.6v BATTERY!
The KWA should run just fine with 9.6v or even 10.8v.
