The most userfriendly saw I've owned ( and now own again) was the RPK. Basicaly the same as an ak... just a bit longer and heavyer ( mine is full wood and metal (old scool metal body not the cast stuff out today). The 249 is probably one of the worst there is and if I had not paid what I paid for mine I would not have bought it....
The best compromise IMO is the good old m60 loved my a4 but she is still a heavy bitch to carry around.
One thing I learned after 7 years of using a saw....... The sling is your friend... and get a RS one designed for the weapon you are using
After so long I have a hard time going back to regular aegs....
