I don't suppose you took any pics? I'd be hard pressed to believe propane or co2 would have enough pressure to blow both those parts to bits. Not to say the SCAR's a top of the line peice but the #27 B (being the weaker/thinner parts) would let go long before the upper, unless it was a bad casting fluke.
