Hey Gang
So I just got my G18C today and wow!!! I'm loving this gun. The gun fits like a glove and I'm just loving it!! The only thing I'm not loving is the Plastic Spring Guide that comes stock with the gun.
In only about a few hours just playing around and tinkering with the gun, I found the Spring Guide looking bit worn out already. (Yes I lubed it all up before shooting)
I'm concerned about the reliability of it and am considering upgrading the Spring Guide to Metal (actually am going to purchase the upgrade in advance G&P ver)
My question is though if I do upgrade the spring guide, it comes with an enhanced spring. I read that if I do install the upgrade with the enhanced spring it is recommended to upgrade to a higher flow valve.
Now I really like how my gun shoots and feels right now. I also don't want to be bothered with the hassle of upgrading my valve either.
Would it work well without the high flow valve or the high flow valve is sort of a must.
Another alternative that was suggested to me was to use the new metal spring guide and just install the old stock spring.
This sounds neat but I looked at the spring guide and am not sure how to get the old spring off. I see a tiny hole that looks like it can be hammered out but am not sure.
If anyone has any suggestions or anything... I'd love to hear it.
Thanks in advance
