no need to destroy it, all you need is a hole punch or anything that is the same size as the hole really the pin pops out easy. The first time I did it I didn't have the right tools so I used a small allen/hex key and it worked out fine no damage.
In my KSC Glocks I have ran upgraded hammer springs, guide rods with upgraded springs and many more upgrades and some mags had high flows some didn't and honestly I could just barely tell when I grabbed a stock mag.
