I've never owned an ICS, but I've known some people that have, and my problems with the split mechbox is that it seems rather easy for dirt/water to get in there, and the idea of proprietary parts really scares me. The idea of having a weapon that can easily be repaired by standard parts is a great comfort to me.
Are those fears unfounded?
