An ACOG is fine for close quarters; you don't NEED a sight for close quarters usually (just looking over your sight is good enough) and when you occasionally need to either shoot far or look for something in the distance, the ACOG is wonderful. Most of my weapons have ACOGs on them.
Also, try to avoid putting stuff on your legs, unless you play straight CQB all the time. In the woods, if you go prone or whatever, you're liable to have it get caught on something, or have mags pop out of pistols, or whatever. Even walking through the woods branches like to get caught on stuff etc etc. You're way better off with nothing except maybe a kneepad or two on your legs.
