Good point, I believe I would have to rewire that body to take a stick battery into the upper receiver; that's not considering the fact that the blowback action may make a stick battery impossible.
As for the stock, would something like this fit the bill (in terms of keeping the stock AK47 body)?

The problem I see with this is the fact that it says "for AEG's that accommodate folding stocks already" and I don't believe the AK47 body will have catching mechanism to hold the stock in place.
After considering all of this, it is looking to be too much of a project to justify the EBB. I would probably have to track down or buy a completely separate AK74u just for the front assembly and body (if I wanted to close the stock). Not only that, but there are too many considerations in the actual internals of the blow back system. If I had the parts lying around it would be another story, but I don't.
Unless someone else has some experience in this I think I'm just going to stick with something stock.
