I purchased an ACOG offline and it was an ugly bronze/tan color that didn't really look right on my AR 15, so I decided to strip the paint off, tried a few methods such as alcohol and goo gone, it worked a little but I realized I was going to be sitting there for 3 days getting that paint off. So i pulled out my dremel and started stripping the paint off using a sanding bit. Got it down to just the bare metal pretty much polished it up and going to prime it before repainting it.

you could have simply painted over the color.. now it's gonna be weirdly shapped
