I'm using an Uncle Mike's soft case for my M4 because I don't have to remove the side location AN/PEQ battery holder to fit in the bag. Since all my Armalites have metal bodies and full length reinforced outer barrels, I'm not too worried about cracking the gun in a soft gun case. Easier to carry around than my hard cases.
