You CAN go with clones, but you must have hands-on experience with the real one to know what is correct and what needs to be modified.

I upgraded a TSD M700 for a friend. I used the stock, receiver, bolt handle and end, trigger bridge, mag catch and barrel. The nylon rings in the receiver needed filing to fit properly on the new bolt, we replaced the hop-up unit, hop-up rubber and inner barrel with a TM kit (available almost everywhere, way better than the PDI unit when shooting under 500fps, and the tightbore that comes with it is also VERY nice).

I had to file the receiver where the trigger kit installs as it was badly cast and the trigger was crooked. I also had to shim it after with some thin copper tape (I had it already).

The stock holes for the bolts where reinforced, as with the front and rear sling points, then the stock filled with foam.

The rifle still work perfectly, but had it been a TM, it would have taken 2hours to do what 3 days took...


Also, buyairsoft is know to pull "facts" out of their ass...
