Downgrade the spring and play with it that is all, don't touch anything else.

Don't go modifying things willy nilly, it can easily turn into a nightmare. Figure out what you want then work on achieving it.

As for CQB, honestly it doesn't matter at all, hell you could even run no hop up if you wanted and wouldn't be at a disadvantage. You could even run a 270 FPS spring and do well in CQB (time to target between 270 FPS and 350 FPS isn't that much), the limits are there to be limits not goals.
