The mag that comes with the M9 is green gas/propane, as far as I know (especially if you're looking at the site I think you are). Propane is cheaper and easier. If you decide to run CO2 mags, you'll be stuck with the green gas mag that comes with the M9.
On a side note, I'd pick up an extra mag or two (which is also on sale there) as well. The propane mag is cheaper than the CO2 mag.
If you do get the cansoft version, and don't care that it's actually plastic, you could just paint the lower to look like chrome. There's tutorials and stuff on how to paint plastic to look chrome (I've never done it though). Probably cheaper and easier than trying to find a chrome lower that you can get in/into Canada.
