I've never owned either guns from KWA, nor the 1911 from KJW, but from what I've read/remember (as of a couple years ago, anyway. Things might have changed), KWA's M9s are better than KJW's. I don't know about their 1911.

I haven't done any research on the 1911s, but for the M9s, another thing you may want to consider when choosing is that KJW is a TM clone, so you can use TM parts/mags, while KWA is not, and uses its own mags. People say KJW mags start leaking (I've seen quite a few in the classifieds sold "with leaking mag"), but you can always buy TM mags.

The KJW guns are less expensive, but are TM based. I've seen some people suggest that you buy a KJW and use the saved money to buy an extra mag.

I've seen a lot of inexpensive KJW M9s in the classifieds as well lately, but not many KWAs, so you could save a lot of money by buying used (and maybe get an extra mag or holster thrown in). Even some of the full metal M9s are cheaper than the cansoft ones (if you're fine with some scratches and wear)
On the other hand, the lack of KWAs could mean everyone is happy with their KWA, and don't want to get rid of it.

Personally, I'd save the money, and go KJW. I haven't had any complaints with my KJW M9s, and I've had my cansoft M9 for a couple years, and several used ones (both cansoft and full metal) over the past few months (I've noticed them being cheap in the classifieds, and grabbed some for loaner guns). Just take care of your mags. You could always move up to TM mags if you find they start leaking, and get sick of it.

If you want to spend twice as much, you could buy a TM M9, but that wasn't your question. =P

As for the 1911, I have done very little research, and have not retained anything I've read about KWA 1911 vs KJW 1911 over the years.

Edit: I re-read this, and I repeated myself a lot. =/
I'm at work, so I don't have time to re-write it, so sorry for the repetitive sentences.
