Multicam camo really does follow along the lines of 'Jack of all trades, master of nothing'. This is just my opinion, but, I think the idea of an 'all purpose camo' is like the Emperor with no clothes, by its definition, it doesn't exist. Until they come up with that lightwrapping predator suit, I think the best camos for different environments are DESIGNED for specific environments to the exclusion of others.
Multicam to me looks like someone couldn't decide between desert, forest, urban or winter camo and came up with something that works for all three but is a master of none of those environments. That being said, it looks cool if for nothing else than the fact that everyone is now wearing MARPAT and CADPAT. We're all due for something new and unique.
Actually what I think Crye really has going for it more than the material is the actual design itself. I'd pick it up in a heartbeat if they had the field pants and shirt in CADPAT or MARPAT.
