Hey Erik, the M-14 was brought into production in the 50's. There were, however, numerous mods an' experients to upgrade the M1 garand (Mainly usin' the BAR's 20-round mags) which eventually lead to the M-14.
Anyway *goes back to droolin' over the M-14* A part of me really wants to see someone mod this into a G-43

I thought I saw on redwolf that their was a conversion kit or something.
Mabey it's just me though. ( for the m14 to a m1 carbine)
