Can anyone who is very very experienced with looking at and shooting WE pistols (and not affiliated with the certain store that is selling the ones above) over the years comment on the progression of improvement in quality/durability? I've a few things here and there that suggest their manufacturing process has improved somewhat (for example, Jai made some comments about the metal work in one of his review videos).

I recently acquired 2 WE pistols within a few weeks of each other (a 4.3 and a 1911), and have been quite impressed with their performance and rugged feel so far. It's hard to tell what will happen over the next months/years, but perhaps some of you who have been staring at the internals of these for a while can comment.

The XDM looks very nice in person. They (and the photographers that take the pictures of these things) need to take off those cheesy gold made in taiwan stickers.
