If I had $200 more, no I would not do it again. If I had the same budget, damn right I would do it again.
It is worth it in the end, IMO. I replaced the barrel, bucking, hop up, nozzle, cylinder head, piston, piston head, gears, bushings, motor, and wiring. I also rethreaded the receiver, so it can accept the standard threading rail systems. The rest of the parts are solid from what I've read, and can be left stock.
Externals, you can't go wrong with VFC Deluxe, or G&P. Some people will say that G&P have poorly matched externals, but if this is the case, buy local. When you buy local, make sure all the parts are matched, tight and no wobble. If it looks solid, get it.
