I had done plenty of reading up on the 003 but can't find much (in English anyways) on this 011 model.

Is it a newer model?

I haven't cracked it open yet but the 003 had metal bushings and stock metal bearing spring guide.. did i get ripped here?
On this Polish airsoft forum thread (link here if you can read Polish: http://forum.wmasg.pl/topic/131655-cm011-g36c-cyma/ ) they claim CM011 is a budget version of CM003, with lighter plastic construction, a shinier finish and a weaker main spring (I'm guessing in Canada the spring strengths have to be over 366fps no matter what so this isn't relevant for us).

Later in the thread a couple guys post their thoughts on the construction and quality of the build. Overall the results don't look too bad, though nobody is impressed with the paintjob. From the pictures I'd say it's at least par with my JG G36, which isn't a fantastic AEG by any measure but is reasonable for a budget gun, and certainly upgradable. The bearings in the CM011 are reported to be metal. Cold weather performance appears to be good. Actual firing tests are favourable and range is good. One rather promising thing I saw reported in the thread was that the pins stay in nice and tight, which is one weak spot on my JG.

Check the second page of that thread for some internal pics, though most people appear to be avoiding opening the gearbox on account of this gun being offered with a warranty in Poland.

Also, the gun sells for about 370PLN over there, which is just under 120CAD. Not bad Hope that helps. I had fun trying to decipher Polish airsoft terminology, it's not every day I get to read in my first language...

edit: it's also suggested in the thread that the CM011 replaces the CM003, which may have been discontinued
