I have no issues with gun upgrades.. but i hate to have to buy some of the items that i assumed i already payed for.

From what I see in the thread it may be an alright substitution..
From my eyes the gearbox at least looks cleaner and nicer than the JG that *I* have, which *may* be the one that is still selling for $180 in Toronto. You could make a stink but you probably won't get the CM003 in return. $170 for a G36 is still dirt cheap. If yours came with a neo motor, even a slow-wound one (which JGs often do), then I'd personally be tempted to call it a day and start shimming and tuning the thing. For all you know, it could be a nice sleeper. It is extremely likely the gearboxes are identical anyway, so we are just talking some body details.
A bump from one CYMA G36 to another CYMA G36 is probably not going to upgrade you from ABS to a textured Nylon body. For that sort of thing, you would have to get a CA or ARES... And then you wouldn't have all the extra budget you now have for upgrades.
If it were me I'd just roll with it.
edit: well, that and kindly let the retailer know you will make a stink on ASC, twitter, facebook, youtube, etc, and hope they compensate you in the form of some free magazines or perhaps a G36-to-M4 magwell adapter.
