I ran a socom max for my first half season. It's a solid gun, the motor has no issues pulling 400fps at a reasonable rof with a 9.6v 4000mah battery.

Be careful of the front sling mount, I didn't trust mine as there's not much holding it into the stock.

Also the stock is brittle, you may want to reinforce it with epoxy inside where all the square cells are. Mine cracked right at the corner of the magwell on both sides.

mags are also hard to find and a bit expensive. The g&g ones feed better than CA.
