Ive never handled a M8000 but what CDN_Stalker said is a good idea. Sometimes the hammer mechanism isn't lubed enough or at all and it gets stuck in the position that the release valve on the mag is left open and like in your casem the gas is dumped. Give lubing a try and that should work.
