The remote/receiver I have coming is rated for 150-200m in an open area. We will see how well it works.
Also, the trigger is a door lock motor. This thing has insane torque! I see no issues with it being under powered when it comes to opening up under the pressure of the springs.
And by not going the trip wire route I don't have to worry about it getting yanked around.
