I prefer GBBs because you can feel the action of the gun and it doesn't have the laser gun kind of trigger that AEGs have. They're also a lot simpler to dissemble than AEGs.
The main disadvantage is that magazine capacity is limited and magazines are horrifically expensive. They are less reliable and more expensive than cheap AEGs, but my KJW m4 is pretty reliable after putting in only a couple mods.
