Thanks Latvian, good to know. Watched a dis-assembly video of a LCT kit and a GHK AKM but it didn't click in my head until you said it.

So short of the barrel I'd assume the rest of the fore-end parts should be compatible? Ie. sub a steel barrel from samoon with the one in the LCT fore-end kits, cut it down and re-thread if needed and viola? I'm not familiar with the AK platform so again this might be a stupid question...
