You can do both. Right now I'm playing just indoors as it's winter but I'm looking forward myself to some outdoor games.
Ultimate Airsoft is nice but expensive. I think you have cheaper options but they are paintball fields.
To the post below me, if he needs to rent gear it's around $70 for the day and I consider that expensive. My opinion, no need to get butt hurt.
