Used, exactly, a very small flat head (from eyeglass repair kit) to press post in. Had to turn flash hider a full turn, then repress post, repeat a couple times until the threading was loose enough to allow it to spin freely. Once this was done, it came off easily, because that single grub screw holding the larger thread base was not installed correctly at factory. So spun it off. Ta-da!
Obviously, that single spring is housed inside the front sight. There is nothing holding it in.
