If it's not within city limits and and owner has given permissions it should be all good
I'm not totally sure about the need of actual insurances; it's definitely a good thing to have, to cover the owner's ass mostly, but I would be tempted to think it has nothing to do with the legal aspect of things
If you're not sure about "if you can discharge an airgun there legally", call the city or local cops, and ask them. Maybe just don specify the exact location in case it'd kill the fun of the others there :P
