what is your definition of trigger response?
Shortening overall cycle time is what most techsavvy tuners will tell you to do... either by gear ratio, motor speed or battery or a combination of all.
The side effect of that is rate of fire... in which case you need a computerized mosfet to bring it back down.
The feature you want to maintain trigger pull response while slowing rate of fire is 'smart rate of fire' available on most computerized mosfets. Sadly, this feature is a package deal with a lot of other fancy features most people don't use, so you'll be paying 80-120$ for a mosfet for rate of fire control.
The best fet to do it with is the BTC spectre. I'm not sure how well it will fit in the kwa gearbox since things are slightly off spec. The spectre is automatically the best choice in any m4 because it replaces the trigger switch and doesn't take up precious buffer tube space.
The gate merf 3.2 is the cheapest priced with rof control. BTC chimera and extreme-fire cheetah 2n with trigger master are highly reliable but take up a lot of space if you are already limited with battery space.
ASCU is not worth the money, the trigger wires will probably get cut, the unit will fail or the trigger board will fail. They have a high DoA/first install failure rate.
AWS raptor is no longer in production. AWS went out of business or ceased operations. The spectre is the spiritual successor to the raptor, but good luck finding one. They are in extreme high demand and supply is super limited as they are hand made/assembled by BTC in the states.
I should note though that increasing rate of fire and cycle speed can and will expose any weaknesses in setting up your gearbox. Optimized shimming and AoE adjustments are pretty mandatory for long term reliability with or without mosfet. You have to open the gearbox anyways to wire the mosfet in.
Anything claiming to be a fet where you plug inline to the battery is not a mosfet, just a computerized fire controller. (burst avacado) It will not protect trigger contacts from arcing and burning out.
