My thoughts exactly, adding super lube to the slide and rear assembly basically solves the slide getting stuck problem. Although when it cycles it encounters more resistance than it should when the blow back housing meets the hammer assembly.
When my WE G17 was broken I got an used HK3P G17 (which turned out to be malfunctioning see my other thread). I found that the release lever in the WE G17 sticks out a little bit more than the release lever for the HK3P G17. The WE G17 release lever also does not positively lock down when you cycle the slide.
The release lever is the shiny tab that sicks out on the rear of the frame.
