So because it's a select fire glock, i need to use 18 parts (aside from the spring guide and body parts) from what I understand. Any one have any suggestions on a top tier build for a g23? I have seen some awesome glock builds and I want to take a cracked at it and make my own killer glock. It will most likely be used semi only, as I hear auto can freeze the nozzle and cause it to break during firing. Price isn't a real issue internally, as this is going to be a long, dragged out build. And if there are any cool slides out there, I'd love to hear about those to!
WE have 4 sizes of semi-only glocks (G17, G19, G27 and G34) and 4 sizes of select-fire glocks (G18, G23, G26 and G35).
The semi-only WE glocks are "supposed to be" compatible to TM glock, you may run into problems about tolerance and fitting.
The select-fire glocks are not compatible with TM glocks, the blowback unit and the loading nozzle are different. There is current only one aftermarket BBU and nozzle set (have to be installed in set) for WE select-fire glocks.
About your plan of building a reliable top tier glock... It is a WE, and it is select-fire glock, it is not very good start platform for such project. Start from a TM will not only save you a lot of money and energy, but also gives you much better result. Doing big upgrading on a low end gun is often the beginning of a series of frustrating work.
If you can put it together and do the spring guide mod of full auto WE glock, and go easy on full auto, you may still have a OK gameable gun, but a awesome glock build... Just go TM.
When ordering WE parts, if you can't find a Canadian retailer, you can try contact the large airsoft stores in Taiwan to see if they can do a WE parts order, and ship it to Canada.
It would help if you can take some pictures of your current glock so we can tell what parts are missing, what parts you need, and what parts may be broken.
