Here in lies the problem. The gas reservoir is really weird...and not removable...and seems to consist of the lower barrel, and a good portion of the receiver. There are o rings everywhere...but all of them appear to be in good condition...I even soaked all of them in silicone oil for good measure.

Even if it was removable, it wouldn't help as it doesn't hold any gas at all.
