2016 should have a MOSFET installed and piston replaced.

They could all benefit from a Neo magnet motor. Barrel and hop up are good enough that you won't really benefit much from "upgrades" such as an economy barrel upgrade or generic hop up rubber. It will benefit from a Prometheus or PDI barrel paired with a R Hop.
I purchased the gun around two weeks ago, from Gear Up Airsoft. I'm not sure exactly how to deduce the year of the gun, however I am aware it's the version with the HK style stock, and grip. I know the earlier VFC 416's lacked those specific parts, and therefore looked far more like M4's. The guys from where I bought the gun told me I should eventually add MOSFET, especially because I run 11.1 LiPo batteries. Quick question for you, I've heard that firing your gun on full auto as opposed to bursting it (when the fire selector is on full auto) is very bad for your gear box, is this true? Thanks! Really appreciate the help.
