I have a pair of leather boots that have had their toes bashed a bit. Some of it is slight abrasion some of it is "dents" or little chunks out of the toe.

Any ideas on reparing this so that it will dissapear when I put a coat of polish over the areas? Right now it shows through, especially when I put a shine on them.
