I have both the tight and loose fitting underarmour shirts. the tight ones are definetely a summer only shirt. as for the loose ones, you can wear them in the spring and fall, no way in the actual winter stuff (coming from a military perspective, may be better for airsoft though). I've always found their winter stuff kind of pointless (again military perspective) to buy as since I get issued some nice poly-pro.
I've never had any problems with fraying or stitches coming out.
as for the shirt itself; I was just wearing them on exercise and after doing a 10km ruck it didn't take that long to dry the shirt out at all. kept me pretty cool without really feeling all the sweat on me.
so yeah the shirts; good for the summer. I'd say buy em if you want one.
