That is not true at all. The piston is still pulled back when you pull the trigger.
Due to the planetary gear system it may seem to take less time but it still has to wind up persay.
I must say its a very elegant gun it how it feels and how the mechanics of its internals work. But in the end it still an AEG. When I want the best performing AEG I have ever owned I never would reach for the PTW. The first choice would be my M14 Hands down. It also has a very intricant and well performing mechanism. Beautiful trigger pull, outstanding accuracy, The thing seems to hum like a Finely Crafted watch.
Maybe if the upgrade kits for the PTW are not too expensive ( I got word they are due out anyday) I will get the kit to take my Gen1 to a Gen 3.
Then maybe just maybe I will start to use the PTW again. heh
