Are you bringing checked luggage? I.e. the stuff that goes in the big containers in the belly of the plane? If you are, then just take the frame sheet out, put it with your checked luggage, and reassemble when you get to your destination. Not only is this safer, but the lack of a rigid frame allows your RAID pack to be squished/crammed/manhandled into the "carry on stowaway area" under the seat.
Same goes for flashlights, multi-tools, knives, FAKs, and all that jazz. I put all that stuff in my luggage, carry my pack with candy and a pillow, and reassemble my kit when I get to my hotel room.
