But if you do get the old piston, just make sure that if you're using a spring guide with bearings, stick to shorter springs (ie avoid PDI 150%... good springs would be top power, systema springs, prometheus springs) and DON'T use the stock piston head. That's what usually fux it all up because the piston head's nut was so thick, it added far too much preload to the spring - when the spring bottomed out, the gears still wanted to go and the result was a grinding of the teeth since the extended final piston tooth adds even more preload.
